About SAFE

Based in Newburgh, NY, SAFE Hudson Valley, Inc. was created from a belief that every young person deserves a real opportunity to build a stable, fulfilling, and independent future, regardless of the barriers they have faced.
We serve young adults ages 16–24 who may be navigating challenges such as incarceration, homelessness, foster care, poverty, educational disruption, unemployment, or other circumstances that can make the transition into adulthood more difficult. We recognize that these experiences can affect a young person's confidence, stability, relationships, education, and ability to envision a different future.

SAFE exists because we believe young adults should not have to navigate those challenges alone. Our purpose is to create a safe, supportive environment where young people can be seen for their potential, not defined by their circumstances. We meet young adults where they are, build trust, encourage growth, and help them recognize that their past does not have to determine their future. SAFE Hudson Valley is building a community where young adults can move beyond survival, discover what is possible, and create a future on their own terms.
